How to spot a fake Cryptodot

Our only website is cryptodot.orgCheck the address bar before you pay. We never message first.

Scammers copy exchangers down to the name, the design and even the mascot. Here is everything that tells the real Cryptodot from a fake. If something doesn't match, stop and don't send anything.

Website address

  • Our only website is cryptodot.org. Look-alike addresses with an extra letter, a hyphen or another ending (.ru, .net, .cc, .top) are not ours.
  • Open the site from a bookmark or from a monitoring site. Don't follow links from private messages or ads.
  • The padlock in the address bar proves nothing: fake sites have HTTPS certificates too. Check the address itself.

Who is messaging you

  • We never message first: not in Telegram, WhatsApp or anywhere else, not by e-mail. If an "exchange manager" contacts you first, it is a scammer.
  • Our support: live chat on cryptodot.org and Telegram. E-mail info@cryptodot.org. We have no other support accounts.
  • Our Telegram channel only posts news. Nobody from it will message you privately or offer an exchange.
  • Our e-mails come only from cryptodot.org addresses, and their links lead only to cryptodot.org.

Where to pay

  • Payment details are valid only if they are shown on your order page on cryptodot.org. Details sent in a chat, "because of a technical issue" or "for verification", are not ours.
  • We never ask you to send money to a "verification", "insurance" or "backup" wallet and never charge to "unfreeze" an order.
  • Verification documents are uploaded only in your account on the website, never in chats.

What we will never ask for

  • Your card's CVV/CVC, SMS or push codes from your bank, bank or e-mail passwords.
  • Your seed phrase, private key or access to your wallet.
  • To install remote-access software (AnyDesk, TeamViewer and the like) or share your screen.
  • A photo of the full card number: for verification the first 6 and last 4 digits are enough.

If in doubt

Open cryptodot.org from a bookmark, write to the live chat and give your order number: the operator will confirm whether the conversation and the payment details are ours. Report a fake site or account to info@cryptodot.org.

If you have already sent money to scammers, call your bank right away using the number on the back of your card and ask them to stop or dispute the payment, then file a police report.
